UltraGrid™ Nylon 210D with UHMW-PE

UltraGrid™ is the world’s first recycled nylon grid fabric reinforced with UHMW-PE (Ultra™ Bluesign®) fibers. This 210d nylon is produced from pre-consumer industrial waste, significantly reducing environmental impact.

The focus is on lightness, tear resistance, and sustainability. For reinforcement and weight reduction, a double Ultra grid of highly tear-resistant UHMWPE is woven in. The inside of the UltraGrid™ features a PU coating, providing a water resistance of 1500mm. The impregnation used is FC-free C0.

When designing UltraGrid™, Challenge Sailcloth prioritized both sustainability and performance:

UltraGrid™ is coated with a C0 DWR coating that does not contain fluorocarbons, also known as PFC or “forever chemicals.
